In our daily lives, Muslims constantly face unseen dangers like shayateen, jinn, and the evil eye, which can hinder our health, work, and well-being. Reciting nazar ki dua, including buri nazar ki dua offers strong protection when done regularly.
I’ve seen how Surah Yaseen and nazar ki dua in Arabic act as a spiritual shield. Many also connect deeply with nazar ki dua in Urdu, seeking mercy from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala for continuous safety.

What Is Nazar (Evil Eye) in Islam?
Nazar, or the evil eye, in Islamic belief is a harmful glance that can cause harm through jealousy or admiration, whether intentional or unintentional. It happens when someone looks at something beautiful or admirable without saying MashaAllah.
There are different forms of Nazar, like Pyar wali Nazar, which is a loving, but unguarded admiration, and Hasad wali Nazar, which comes from a jealous, envious heart. Both can lead to negative effects known as Nazar-e-Bad.
Quranic Verses About the Evil Eye:
The Holy Quran teaches us about the true spiritual nature of the evil eye and envy. In Surah Al-Falaq (113:5), Allah tells believers to seek refuge from the harm caused by the envier when he feels jealous.

Explanation:
1. The first dua is a general protection supplication taught by the Prophet ﷺ. It asks Allah for safety from all forms of evil in His creation — whether known or unknown. It’s short, powerful, and ideal for daily recitation.
2. The second dua was specifically used by the Prophet ﷺ for Hasan and Husayn, his grandsons. It offers protection from every devil, poisonous creature, and especially from harmful eyes. This dua is essential for safeguarding children from Nazar and other harms.
3. The third dua seeks Allah’s protection from the evil of our own faculties — such as hearing, seeing, speaking, feeling, and desires. It’s a deep, reflective prayer to keep a person spiritually and morally protected from inner and outer harm.
